Dorothy E. (Lindberg) Wencl, 85, formerly of Grand Forks, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Auburn Regional Medical Center, Auburn, Washington.

Dorothy was born on April 19, 1926, to Carl & Veta (Bowan) Lindberg in Grand Forks, ND. She attended schools in Grand Forks, ND.

Dorothy was united in marriage to William Wencl on May 18th, 1954 in Grand Forks.

She worked for many years in the potato industry for various farmers.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Donna (Rocky) Steckler of Auburn, WA, Susie (Matt) Parkhurst of Gilby, ND, and Kathy (William) King of Lewiston, ID; 5 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Thurber of Anoka, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 brothers and sisters and 1 grandson.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family.

MEMORIAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the memorial service at Amundson's.

INURNMENT: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
