DEATH COMES SUDDENLY.

Sarah Persyn, widow of Evo Persyn, died suddenly last evening at 6:10 o'clock, as the result of a paralytic stroke. She had been in ill health for over a year. She took sick about 6 o'clock yesterday and in a few minutes was a corpse.

Mrs. Persyn, was formerly Sarah Rock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rock, both now deceased. She was born July 19, 1849 in Ohio, but when she was but a child, the family moved to Illinois. She resided in this vicinity for over forty years, with the exception of eleven years spent in Missouri. She returned from Missouri to Canton about eight years ago.

She is survived by eight children, Clyde Persyn and Mrs. Nora Lawson, Snyder, Mo.; Charles, Triplet, Mo.; Jesse, Springfield; Andrew, state of Washington; George, Milton, Kans.; Henry, Louisiana and Mrs. Charles Cousins, Canton. There are six sisters, Susan Myers, Elizabeth Maxwell, Kate Rock, Josephine Raker, Belle Fouts and Minnie Lewis, all of Canton and two brothers, Henry and Thomas Rock, of Canton.

Deceased was a member of the German Baptist church. Burial will be in Greenwood. Funeral arrangements will not be completed until the arrival of the children.
