PLEASANT PLAINS - Evelyn Buckles, 83, of Pleasant Plains died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, two sons, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two stepchildren.

Mrs. Buckles was born in Springfield on Dec. 26, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Vera Wahl Fishback. She married Roy Buckles on Sept. 6, 1990.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John L. Moore.

Mrs. Buckles retired as a manager in the boy's department of the Hub Clothing store. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Mott and Henning Funeral Home, with services following there at 11 a.m., the Rev. Milton Bost officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
