Mary Agnes Brown, age 84, of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011, in Flippin. She was born on May 14, 1927, in Hasty, Arkansas, the daughter of Hester and Dealla (Eden) Norvell. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, James Robert Gash and Thomas Shertrey; an infant son; infant twin daughters; her son, Jerry Gash; a sister, Maudie Tackett; and a brother, Glen Norvell.

Mary was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Yellville. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and sewing quilt tops.

Mary is survived by her sons, Willie Gash, Earl Gash, Harvey Gash and Jack Gash; her daughters, Jimmie Sue Eaton, Brenda Dean, and Rosemary Yates; her brother, Maloy Norvell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of many dear friends.


Visitation is open.

Graveside service is 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2011, at Jasper Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Willie Gash, Earl Gash, Harvey Gash, Jack Gash and Mary's grandchildren.
