VETERAN POSTAL
EMPLOYEE DIES
Luther M. Donley, aged 56 years, who was employed in the United States postal service for a period of 30 years, died Wednesday night, May 25, 1938, at 8 o'clock at his home in Dunkard Township. Death was due to pneumonia.
Mr. Donley, who was widely known as a farmer in the Bald Hill district for a number of years, was born October 7, 1881, a son of the late Daniel O. and Hannah Patt Donley. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Grace Lough Donley, and the following children: Robert Donley, of Freeport; Dorwin Donley, of Maidsville, W. Va.; Mrs. Estella John, of Mt. Morris; and Kathryn, Daniel, Rosalie, James, Betty Lou and June Donley, all at home. One sister, Mrs. Dixie Sanders, of Morgantown, W. Va., and two grandchildren, Donley and Elizabeth Ann John, also survive. Mr. Donley was a member of the Bald Hill Church.
DONLEY - Short funeral services for Luther M. Donley will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Davidson Funeral Home, Morgantown, W. Va., with additional services at 2 o'clock in the Bald Hill Church with the Rev. Mr. Burns officiating. Interment will be in the Bald Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Davidson Funeral Home until time for the services.
