Charles Milton Hinderliter, a lifelong resident of the Ringgold section of Jefferson County and the father of Mrs. Claude Salsgiver, of Perry Street, this city, died in the Adrian Hospital this morning of pneumonia at the age of 79 years. He had been ill two days. The deceased, who was born June 15, 1860, in Ringgold Township, a son of Henry and Margaret Shaffer Hinderliter, was united in marriage in the late 1880's to Miss Ann Travis, who died in 1907. Mr. Hinderliter had his residence in Ringgold Township all his life. He had lived with his daughter here the past six months. Surviving are the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Claude Salsgiver, of this city; Mrs. Louis Heitzenrater, of DuBois; Mrs. Vera Sprankle, of Reynoldsville; Margaret, of Idaho; Irvin, of Sprankle Mills, and McKinley, of Freeport. The following brothers and sisters are also survive: Sol, of Ernest; Dallas, of Sprankle Mills; Wilson, of Grange; Mrs. Margaret Bush, of Brookville, and Mrs. Laura Sheesley, of Reynoldsville.

Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery near Porter.
