Son of Nathaniel Henry Rhodes Dawson and Elodie Breck (Jane) Todd Dawson (Half sister of Mary Ann Todd Lincoln); husband of Alice Kellogg. Sheriff of Dallas County, Alabama who was shot and killed in the line of duty while trying to settle a land dispute. The graves for Lawrence and Alice are to the left behind the large Dawson marker Lawrence is on the left and Alice is on the right. NHR Dawson is at the head of Lawrence and Mary A Dawson is at the head of Alice.
