Mr. Charles Abraham Bernstein, age 57 of Dalton, passed away Monday, December 14, 2009 at Gordon Hospital following an extended illness.

Mr. Bernstein was born on November 6, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas, son of the late Harry and Dorothy Lee Loftis Bernstein. He was employed as a retail store manager.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Dianne Holt Bernstein, to whom he was married for seven years; three sons, Charlie Bernstein, Paul Bernstein and Michael Bernstein, all of Texas; a step-daughter, Tamatha Totherow of Calhoun; two step-sons, Darrell Roberts of Summerville and Buck Seritt of Calhoun; a half-brother, Alex Keller of Cincinnati, Ohio; and ten grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Charles Abraham Bernstein will be conducted Friday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Ferguson officiating.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday, beginning at 11am.

The family requests that flowers be omitted, and donations be made to your favorite charity in memory of Mr. Charles Bernstein.
