Lyle was the only surviving son of Eva (Conklin) and George W. Brown. He was born in Macomb, Michigan 29 October 1887 per birth record. Record shows first name as "Lillie" instead of Lyle. The birth year on his grave-marker also is incorrect. He lived in Montana as a child then in Colorado. He moved to California sometime before 1908 where me met Leonora Bell Griffin, daughter of John Marion and Caroline (Weeks) Griffin. They were married on June 10, 1908 in Los Angeles, CA. Lyle was a cabinet maker and worked on the interiors of the Pacific Electric Red Cars, the Kellogg Ranch, and many homes in the Los Angeles area including Shirley Temple's. He and Leonora moved to Victorville, San Bernardino, CA about 1946 where Lyle had his own cabinet shop attached to his home. Lyle and Leonora had one son, Elwood, and three grandchildren. Lyle was the legal guardian for two of the grandchildren Phillip and Georgette.
