US Senator, Massachusetts Governor. Served as a United States Senator from Massachusetts from 1919 to 1925 and 1926 to 1947, being defeated in 1924 and 1946. Also served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Massachusetts in 1912 and 1936, and Governor of Massachusetts from 1914 to 1916.
