My Mom had a short, hard life. She had me when she was only 15, just a child, herself really. After she had me, and would take me to town with her, she said people would stop her and say "oh, what a pretty little sister you have"
Her first husband, Billy Joe Metcalf was physically and mentally abusive to her- it took 9 yrs. to get away from him, by then, she had 3 more children. My Mom had many hardships, and made a lot of sacrifices for us. She was a great Mom, I miss her so very much.

Her last marriage was to Raymond Baker. They were married about 10 years, before she passed away. I wish I say this was a happy marriage, while he never hit her, he was verbally abusive to her, when he drank. And, he drank a lot!
And, she loved Elvis- oh, did she love Elvis!! She loved him so much, in fact, there were times in my life, I have been actually jealous of him!! I do hope she is dancing with him right now in heaven.
