Funeral services for J. David Miller, 70 years of age, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. D. L. Druien in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Miller, a well known farmer and native of the county, died at his home near Mac at 3 a.m. Wednesday after an extended illness of two years. He took seriously ill at his home Monday.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis P. Miller. Mr. Miller professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Baptist church at Pleasant Valley. He was married to Miss Lizzie Ward fifty years ago, who survives him. Also surviving are two sons and two daughters: Homer Miller, Green County, Iva Miller, Taylor, Mrs. Robert Money and Mrs. Charley Stiles, both of the county. He leaves nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Henry Coakley, Willie Skaggs, Thomas Bloyd, Johnny Fields, Bennie Underwood, and George Dobson. Honorary: Tom Nelson, John H. Chaney, Albert Bloyd, Lloyd Ward, C. M. Warren and Walter Reed.
