'V. L. Fenstermaker Succumbs Suddenly

Virgil Lee Fenstermaker, 77, died suddenly this morning at his home, 319 North Dakota ave. Funeral arrangement are pending and Miller funeral home is in charge.

He was born October 20, 1877, in Bellflower, Ill., coming to Minnesota when he was 10 years old with his parents. They settled near Luverne, Minn., and later lived near Beaver Creek, Minn.

On January 2, 1910, Mr. Fenstermaker was married to Ada Johnson in Watertown, S. D. They resided in several places in South Dakota, having lived in Sioux Falls intermittently for 20 years. They operated a resort at Enemy Swim S. D., for several years. In 1940 they moved to California for two years. Mr. Fenstermaker was a painter and a member of the First Methodist church.

He is survived by his widow; three sons, Floyd, Sioux Falls, Burton with the army in England, and Vernon with the merchant marine in the south Pacific; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Schroeder, Toronto, S. D., and Mrs. Roland Hart, Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred and Roy Fenstermaker, Sioux Falls; and two sisters, Mrs. L. W. Canedy and Mrs. H. L. Nowka, Sioux Falls.'

'Dr. John V. Madison of the First Methodist church officiated at funeral services for Virgil Lee Fenstermaker, 67; at 1:30 p. m. today at the Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. C. B. Van Ausdall was organist, and vocalists were Margy Anderson and Charlotte Kukuk.

Interment was in the Hills of Rest Memorial park. Serving as pallbearers were Alvin Spears, Dean Cunningham, John Alink, Fred Ball, Emil Ball and Henry Peters.

Mr. Fenstermaker died suddenly Monday at his home.'
