Mrs. Teske, 77, Rochester, Dies
Mrs. Charles J. Teske, 77, of 911 2nd Ave. NW, a former rural school teacher and widow of a retired farmer, died Tuesday at Rochester Methodist Hospital of cancer.
The former Verna Witlsey was born Sept. 16, 1892, in Genoa, and resided with her family at Wadena until they moved to Rochester when she was 13 years old. She was married to Mr. Teske here Nov. 3, 1915, and he preceded her in death last Jan. 1.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rachel) Stevenson of Elgin; a son, Harold of Bonner, Mont.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six sisters, Mrs. Bert Aaby, Mrs. Henry Watts, Mrs. Florence Aufenthie, Mrs. Joe Clark and Mrs. Floyd Walters, all of Rochester, and Mrs. Roy Headley of Boyceville, Wis. Two sons and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Evangel United Methodist Church by the Rev. R. C. Painter. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Ranfranz Funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday until 12:30 p.m. Friday and then at the church until time of services
