Mrs. C.F. Menninger
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Pearl May Boam Menninger, who died Tuesday at her home, 4712 W. 6th. She had been readmitted to a Topeka hospital Feb. 26 and released several weeks later.
She was married to Dr. C.F. Menninger in 1948. He died in 1953.
Mrs. Menninger was a member of First Presbyterian Church 50 years and was a member of Beulah Chapter No. 34, Order of Eastern Star.
She had assisted Mrs. Flo V. Menninger in the Menninger Bible Study course and was a graduate of the course. She formerly taught kindergarten at Potwin School, Branner School and other schools several years.
She was a graduate of the four-year reading course of the Chautauqua Literary Club, the first adult education extension course in the United States.
Survivors include two step-sons, Dr. Karl Menninger, 1819 Westwood Circle, and Dr. Edwin Menninger, Stuart, Fla; nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
