After a lingering illness with dropsy, Isaac Washington, died at his home four miles north of this city. He was 60 years of age, an industrious farmer, and an old soldier.
His remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery today.
Many friends and relatives followed his remains to their last resting place. Rev. Alford of the Christian church conducted his funeral service. (Elwood Daily Record, July 29, 1893.) [the date of his death is estimated, since it has not been officially determined.]
