James F. Breese, 90, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in Beverly Health Care, Waynesburg.
He was born April 27, 1914, in Center Township, Greene County, a son of James F. and Jennie Throckmorton Breese.
Mr. Breese worked for Universal Cyclops, Bridgeville, for 21 years, retiring in 1971. He then began working as a building superintendent at Northgate Apartments and later at Westgate and Chestnut Hill apartments, all in Washington. He had resided in Waynesburg since 1979.
He was a member of Union Valley Methodist Church.
On April 4, 1936, he married Margaret R. Wilson Breese, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, a son and daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-granddaughter; and two
stepgreat-great-grandsons.
He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are nine sisters, Anne Tharp, Mary Johnson, Fannie Conklin, Elizabeth Crouse, Pearl Conkey, Ruth Bartolovich, Ivy Crouse, Lucy Breese and Ruby Breese; and a brother, Wesley Breese.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m., the hour of service, Saturday, December 4, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, Chuck Behm, director, with the Rev. Bill Cox officiating, followed by interment in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to any local hospice.
