On October 17, 1958, she married Glen "Honker" Darnall; the couple made their home in Cozad. Later they moved to Eustis where they raised their children. In 1982, the couple moved to Farnam where they lived the rest of their married lives. Mr. Darnall preceded her in death in 2005.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Farnam Library Board and was an avid volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile.
She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening, and sewing. She especially enjoyed attending the Farnam A.M. Coffee Club.
