Lera Lorene Bell, 94, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center with her children by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Allen Taylor Bell; her parents, Joshua and Mary Nunn; stepmother, Ollie Miller Nunn; and her siblings, Herbert and Wesley Nunn, Thelma Furline and Mae Thackrah.

She is survived by two sons, James Allen Bell and his wife, Mary, of Cincinnati, and Billy Fisher Bell and his wife, Toby, of Owenton; a daughter, Amanda Bell Andrews of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Samuel and Sydney Bell of Cincinnati, Amber and Allen Bell of Owenton, James Duke of Columbus, Ohio, and Nicholas Duke of Elizabethtown; six great-grandchildren, Bethany and Taylor Bell, Kendall Shortt-Duke and Brayden, Hailey and Layla Duke; and a brother, James Nunn of Louisville.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with the Rev. Gene B. Waggoner and Pastor Gregg Curtis officiating. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Otter Creek Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 694, Radcliff, KY 40159 for Bibles to be donated in memory of Lorene Bell.
