The remains of the late W.J. Dorward who died in Tacoma, Washington, were brought to Durward's Glen from Portage this afternoon. The remains were shipped to Portage from the western home.

Interment took place in the family burial plot on the quaint hill-bound estate made famous beyond its secluded confines through its beautification by the Durward family, noted for their religious zeal, kindly simple life and artistic and poetic talent.

Wilfrid, the deceased, was a writer of more than local note, having published a volume summarizing the life and labors of his late priested brother known affectionately by his family and friends as "Father John".

He was also a musician of ability and in earlier life devoted his talent to instrumentation and vocal music, knowledge of the latter subject being imparted through the medium of the old time "singing school".

Father James [Durward, his brother] arrived from St James, MN, for the funeral.

Buried in this little cemetery at the Glen are the father, the mother, and brothers, Father John and Charles.
