His eight children, Sharon Smith of Augusta, GA, Austin "Herb" Ziegler, Jr. (Gwen) of Griffin, GA, Gunda Taylor (Earnie) of Youngsville, NC, Jerry Ziegler (Celeste) of Ridgeway, SC, Steven Ziegler (Bonnie) of Lexington, SC, Gary Ziegler of Huntington Beach, CA, Elizabeth Hardy (Barry) of Lacy Springs, AL, and Heather Crowell (David) of Elgin, SC, survive him. Zig had 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
