In 1860 she, her parents, brother Leonard, and sister Sarah lived in East Wheatfield Township, Indiana County, PA. Her father owned personal property worth $80 and worked as a basket maker. Frederick worked as a furnace laborer.

In 1910 she lived with her nephew Levi Peterson, his wife, and their two children in a house they owned, mortgage free, at 226 Ohio Street in Johnstown, PA. Levi was a retired minister.

In 1920 and 1930 she lived in the Ladies Grand Army Home at 2640 Woodstock Avenue in Swissvale, PA.
