Professional Hockey Player. Chabot was born in Montreal, Quebec, on October 5, 1900, and played the position of goalie for teams in the Canadian Amateur Hockey League (CAHL) and National Hockey League (NHL). At 6'01, 185lbs, he began his career playing for Manitoba in 1920, and then playing with the Port Arthur Bear Cats from 1924 to 1926, before going professional. He also played for, Springfield Indians from 1926 to 1927, New York Rangers from 1926 to 1927, and 1927 to 1928, Toronto Maple Leafs from 1928 to 1929, 1929 to 1930, 1930 to 1931, 1931 to 1932, and 1932 to 1933, Montreal Canadiens from 1933 to 1934, Chicago Blackhawks from 1934 to 1935, Montreal Maroons from 1935 to 1936, and the New York Americans from 1936 to 1937. Chabot won the Stanley Cup twice, Vezina Trophy from 1934 to 1935, and the Allan Cup in 1925 and 1926. He passed away from the effects of kidney disease five days after his 46th birthday.
