He and his father and some other family members moved to the Western Reserve - Portage County, Ohio. His father served in the Rev. War. He was given some land tract there.
He served in War of 1812. He joined the Army as a private. Darrow's Odd Battalion, Ohio Militia.
He married Rebecca Parrish in about 1818?
