Civil War ~ Rank Pvt. - Enlistment Oct. 23, 1861 in the 1st Ohio Light Artillery - Battery L at the age of 37 years. He was transferred to 9th Veterans Reserve Corp. July 01, 1863 and discharged Nov. 17, 1864. Length of service being 3 years 27 days.
