EVELYN DYER died at home at the age of 69 on Monday afternoon in Houston, Texas. She was a native of Winterset, IA and a resident of Houston, Texas. She was a member of Friends Baptist Church in Houston. She was preceded in death by her father John W. Davis, mother Mabel Rynearson and her sister (sic-daughter) Beatrice Johnette Dyer.
Survived by her husband, Marshall Dyer of Houston, TX., also son, Scott Dyer of Mobile, AL., and a brother, William A. Davis of Des Moines, IA. She also had 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Mobile, AL on Friday from Meadow Lake Baptist Church and she was buried in Springhill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gilmers Funeral Home of Mobile, Al. A Memorial Service will be held on October 4, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Southwest Calvary Baptist Church in Houston, TX 77099.
