Hall of Fame Boxer. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was dubbed ‘Fabulous Fabela' for his unorthodox stance. As a featherweight 1945 to 1955, he boxed in 587 professional rounds with 47 wins, 15 by knock out, 24 lost and 5 draws. In 1993, he was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame. He died in Hollywood, California, at age 73.
