The son of Ricardo Toca & Constantina Ruiz, Justo immigrated to America from Santander, Spain in 1912. After working through the western US in Montana and California, he returned to Spain and married Elisa Herreria Campo on 02/01/1913. They departed from France and arrived in NYC in late March of that year. Justo and Elisa moved to Vermont and settled in Jay, ME and East Nassau, NY until the late 1950's and raised 5 daughters and 1 son. Justo was a stonecutter and later a poultry farmer. He retired and lived in the Tampa area until his death, only four weeks after his wife Elisa passed away. Justo is survived today by 3 of his daughters, many grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. His son was the last Toca from this part of the family. I am his grandaughter and use the name as my middle name.
