Because of her illness he became the ward of the State of NY. In 1947 he became the foster child of Elsie Loraine (nee:Mckay) and William Thomas Pickett, of "the Yazoo Picketts". Due to a long and confusing divorce in 1957 his adaption by Philip Hewett became final and Lorraine McKay was granted the "rights and privilege accord to a natural Mother".. At the time Kuzriel was a sicklily child and had been hospitalized with TB and late moved to the home of Rev. Minister McKay in Campti, LA. In 1957 Kuzriel Meir moved to California with the Hewetts. In 7th grade he arrived in Perris, California, where he stayed until he entered the US Army reserve in 1964. He was later allowed to "cross the stage" to receive his diploma. As a freshman he lettered in track and varsity football. He began competition in cross country, swimming and gymnastics. As a Junior he won letters in track, wrestling cross country and basketball. He was competitive in track and field as well as cross country. He competed in several marathons. In high school he published his first essay and worked for the Perris Progress. By then he had finish college under an ROTC scholarship. He won 3d place in a writing contest. As he was an active duty solider he was not allowed to "cross the stage" for his diploma. In the army he had finished Medical AIT, Jump School and was allowed to be awarded a HALO, and SCUBA on the basis of his civilian training before qualifying for Special Forces. In 1968 he qualified as a Special Forces medic. He served @ Special Forces camp 49, located at Loc Ninh in Binh Long. He returned to take the new 300f11 course and work the Emergency Room @ Ft. MacArthur. He returned to Viet Nam and worked with C company 2/5 Cav. of the 1st Cav. Division. Returning to the States he worked as a medical specialist at Ft. Polk and in Alaska. He was awarded a Silver Star Medal, A Bronze Star Medal for Valour, 3 Bronze Stars for Service, 2 Purple Hearts, an Air Medal for valour, an Air Medal, An Army Achievement Medal and An Accommodation Medal. He was given several letters of accommodation for his service and for his skills as an instructor. In 1974 he was stationed as a mountain rescue team member. He qualified as an arctic ranger and scuba diver. He helped write the "Red edition" of ST31-91B Medical Handbook.
After the Army He served in a Joint Canadian-American task force watching several Vietnamese Generals known for their drug connections. He completed his BA Honours in Judaica, history and religion. He also attended Yeshivah.
In 1979 He immigrated to Israel.
In Israel He worked in several hospitals, The ERs, Infectious diseases, Nuclear medicine, Cardiology and surgery . He and his then wife, Rivka Morrison Meir, worked in 13 settlements. He then ran Tapuach labs, a branch of Marantec Chemicals, and a research lab.

In 1979 he was chosen to attend Ohavi Torah Yeshivah, in Beni Brak, Israel. Later he attended Kollel Hazon Ish, in Beni Brak. Later he attended Midrash Sephardi, in Jerusalem, where he studied Schitah, ritual slaughter, Melah, circumsision , and Suferute, scribal arts. He graduated as a rabbi and became a teacher. In 1985 He graduated from Midrash Sephardi as a rabbi, shochet, mohel and Sofer. In 1988 he obtained his advanced rabbinical ordination and became the Ambassador of the Supreme Rabbinical Court of America and serves on the Israel Mediation Board.
He began work on the Agunot Task force of the Supreme Rabbinical Court of America, In November of 1988 he joined the Rabbinical Court of Cape-town SA as a Dyan, a Shochet, a mohel and Sofer.In 1990 he returned to Hebron- Kyraot Arba as a Shochet for the Ethiopian community. He helped run a small hdd of Goats, horses and dogs. In 2000 he moved to Tapuach and helped set up 13 health clinics, He was charged with being instrumental in the death of an arab woman. In the end, serving 2 years in prison he was found not to be involved, and hence not guilty. He returned to be the chief Haredi Rabbi of the Ariel area and helped establish area environmental and health offices. He returned to his duties as the secretary of the Beth Din of America. He assisted Rabbi Dr. Antelman and the Merantec Chemical Company in the development of several chemical so;unions, including AG4O4. He conducted medical trials in several countries. He returned to the States and worked on various Task Forces for the Beth Din and headed several projects for Merantec. In 2001 he had his first stroke. He spent the next years in recovery. He published several books of poetry, short stories, essays and novellas. He married his collage sweetheart, Iwona Irwin-Zarecka of Warzaw and professor of Communication Studies @ Wilfred Laurie, in Kitchner, ON.
