Eleanor Gallagher Moran was born in New York City to James and Nora Buckley
Gallagher. She married James Moran and they had a son, James Jr. She worked as a secretary for Decca records in New York City and moved to Gloversville in 1953 when the company relocated. From 1962 until her death she was a manager. Eleanor was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Gloversville.
She had two sisters, Catherine Gallagher Hornung of Gloversville and Dorothy Gallagher Norris of New York City. She had three nephews Michael Hornung, James and Joseph Norris, and one niece Catherine Norris. She was a devoted friend to the late Angela Laciano Beyer.
Her funeral mass was at Sacred Heart Church.
