Frank V. Moorehead, 78, 509 Rex St., died Sunday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He had been an employee at Ball Brothers for 57 years, his last years of work as a guard, prior to his retirement.
He and his wife, Mary A., had been married 58 years.
Mr. Moorehead was a member of First Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Don Zigler of Hartford City, Mrs. H.W. Stewart, Mrs. C.W. Blair, Mrs. Dewey Mongold and Mrs. W.L. Wyant, Jr., all of Muncie, and Mrs. Earl Davenport of Salem, N.Y.; two sons, C.F. Moorehead of Indianapolis, and D.C. Moorehead of Muncie; a brother, A.W. Moorehead of Muncie; 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Piepho Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne C. Swihart officiating. Ball Brothers' guards will be pall bearers. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.
