Elizabeth C. Easterly, beloved wife of John F. Easterly, passed away at her home at Ava Sunday, April 25, 12 12:21, aged 64 years. Funeral services will be conducted at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Fred Wright of Franklin Heights, officiating. He will be assisted by the pastor of the Ava Baptist church, Rev. S. T. Luedecke. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

"Mrs. Easterly was born to Henry and Polly Cheatham, both of whom have passed away. She was one of a family of nine children, brothers Will, Frank and Thomas and sister Anna having passed away several years ago. Robert R. Cheatham, Indio, Calif., Carrie Timlin, Los Angeles, Calif., Ida Culley, Downey, Calif., and Mary Stout, Murphysboro, Illinois, survive.
She was married to John F. Easterly March 3, 1881. To this union seven children were born, two sons, Leslie and Aubrey of whom have passed away. The husband and following children survive: Nora E. Talbott, Butch C. Stout and Charles B. Easterly of Ava, Illinois; and Ida L. Brouillette and Gordon G. Easterly of Murphysboro, Illinois."
