Magyar Royalty. She was the sixth-born daughter of King András or Endre (the Gerosolimitano) of the Arpadi dynasty, and nephew of Peter II of Courtenay, Latin Emperor of Constantinople. In 1235 Yolanda married James I the Conqueror becoming queen consort of Aragon and Majorca. Of the nine children they had during the marriage, two became rulers of Aragon and Valencia (Peter III the Great) and Majorca and Menorca (James I) respectively. Yolanda died of violent fever at the age of thirty-six.
