The former Jane Troop, she was born in Southern Illinois and was married in Alabama on October 7, 1895 to Thomas A. Nisbet. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Sato Baptist church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nisbet will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church in Ava, with Rev. William Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Ava Evergreen cemetery.
She leaves her husband; five sons, Sam of Murphysboro, Harry and Keith of Ava, Gould of Caseyville, and Kent of Decatur; and two daghters, Mrs. Frank Whisler and Mrs. Ray Speith, both of Ava. There are 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Wilson funeral home in Ava, where friends may call until funeral time.
