Rev. Charles Montague Bowen was the son of John and Deborah (Montague) Bowen. Jane (Wilson) Bowen was his 1st wife. They were married in1830. Jane died May 8, 1839. Abby (Cole) Bowen was his 2nd wife. They were married in 1840. Rev. Bowen was a minister in the Black River Conference and Northern New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He joined the Black River Conference in 1854. He died at Ravenswood.
