Jazz singer, entertainer, actress. She was one of Sweden´s most renowned jazz artists and entertainers who made her debut in 1948. As a jazzsinger, she often performed with Swedish jazz musicians of international repute: Jan Johansson, Bengt Hallberg, Lars Gullin, Egil Johansen and Arne Domnerus among others. She also toured Europé with Danish fiddler Svend Asmussen. She became very popular and beloved as show entertainer and acted in many vaudevilles and revues with for instance Sten-Åke Cederhök and ”HasseåTage” (Hans Alfredson and Tage Danielsson). On film, she acted in Ingmar Bergman´s Oscar winning ”Fanny and Alexander” (1982/83). Being very fond of her hometown, Gothenburg, she consistantly turned down great offerings from around Europe and USA. Cause of death: Diabetes.
