Swedish TV Journalist. He was legendary with his innovative and original way of making programmes for Swedish television. From 1965 until 1972 he made great success with weekly TV-Magazine ”Hvar Fjortonde Dag” (Once a Fortnight). He was often provocative and as much as he was concidered a genious, he was blowed up as well. Today his TV shows are looked upon as cult. He also made many noted interviews, for instance with 1959 Heavy Weight Boxing World Champion, Ingemar Johansson. Ulf Thorén was a brother of famed Journalist and Diplomat, Arne Thorén. He burned to death after falling asleep in bed with a lit cigarette.
