Professional Table Tennis Champion. He is considered one of Sweden's best table-tennis players. He changed and developed the sport, and a racket is named after him: "The Alsér Grip." He was European Champion (single) 1962 and 1966; European Champion (Team) four times between 1964 and 1970; World Champion (double, together with Kjell Johansson) 1967 and 1969; European Champion (double) 1966. Later, he was the head coach of the West German's team from 1971 to 1974 and from 1974 to 1977, the Swedish national teams. He was killed in a plane crash when landing at Bromma Airport in Stockholm.
