Grant Ulysses Combs, age 80, of Somerset, KY, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was a retired drill operator with Falcon Coal Co.
Mr. Combs was the son of the late McKinley Combs and the late Merza Combs. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Combs; one daughter: Vickie Lynn Helton; one grand-daughter: Angie Dawn Ison; two sisters: Cornella & Edith; and five brothers: McKinley Jr., Conrad, Irvin, Glen & Leonard.
He is survived by: one daughter: Tammie(Tim)Nissen of Somerset; one sister: Linda Lou Ritchie of Danville; one brother: Lloyd Combs of Lexington; three grandchildren: Brittany, Jeremy & Greg; two great-grandchildren: Brett & Amber; and, two great great-grandchildren: Knox & Keagynn.
Funeral: Graveside Service at 2 PM, Thursday, Sept. 10th, 2015, at Riverside Cemetery , Hazard. KY with Vestal Neece officiating
Interment: Riverside Cemetery in Hazard.
