Marie Louise Schepman was married twice:
1. John H. Burbrink
April 23, 1868, Bartholomew Co., Indiana
Burbrink died of smallpox in 1873, along with their infant daughter, Louise.
Their older daughter, Anna, survived because she was sent away during the epidemic. Mary Louise had been exposed to smallpox while she a young child in Germany and was able to withstand the epidemic better.
