Three Killed In Crash On State Route 840:

Wilson Co., TN. - The Tennessee Highway Patrol said three people were killed in a head-on collision on State Route 840 on the westbound side around 1:40 AM Saturday.

Harold Gee Jr. was driving the wrong way down SR 840 when his vehicle slammed head-on into a second vehicle. The second vehicle was driven by Krissa Lawson and her passenger David Meyers. Two people died in one car, one person died in the other. All three people died upon impact when both vehicles burst into flames.

Officers will conduct tests to see if Harold Gee Jr. had any alcohol or drugs in his system at the time of the crash.

THP closed a two-mile stretch of the westbound lanes, from exit 68 to 70, while they investigated the crash.

David "Dave" Keith Meyers, 45, of Mt. Juliet, TN. passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011. He was a native of San Pedro, CA., and worked for Genco/Dell. David served in the United States Marine Corp.

David is preceded in death by his parents, David Bradford Meyers and Desene Isom Politoski.

He is survived by his sons, Douglas Cameron Meyers of Swainsboro, GA., and Dustin Keith Meyers of TN. Daughters, Desiree Michelle Meyers of TN., Elizabeth Suzanna Coursey of TN. Brother, Jerry Politoski. Sisters, Diann Hale and Debbie Chitty.

David had a love of music. Singing and playing the guitar.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Jennings & Ayers Chapel. The visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from noon until service time at 2 PM. Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home Murfreesboro, TN.
