Robert's death certificate lists his parents as William Bonynge & Jane Swift. His children include: Susan Elizabeth Bonynge, Robert William, Arthur Nathaniel, and Emily Maria "Emma" whose birth certificate listed her parents as William Bonynge & Jane Campbell.
"Robert Bonynge, who for thirty years was a stenographer attached to the Supreme Court, died in this city on Wednesday at the age of sixty-five years. Mr. Bonynge was a prominent Mason, a member of Kane Lodge and held the office of district deputy grand-master under J. Edward Simmons." - NY Globe dated Friday 9 Sept 1904
