-- Mr. Wright, of Charlotte, departed this earthly existence on Friday, February 6, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 12th at Greater Myers Chapel P.F.M., Charlotte. Burial will be in Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the church.
He was raised in the Smallwood Community and attended the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Myrtle Wright and his grandparents, Walter and Mamie Clyburn and William S. McMichael.
Survivors are his wife, Deborah B. Wright, sons, Darrell and Christopher Wright, daughters, Shanita Wright, LaQuavia Alexander and Myria Woods, sister, Frances Wallace, and brothers, William (Doris), James A., Clarence (Terri), Ronald (Rebecca), Odell Potts and Owen Gene (Patricia), all of Charlotte.
