MARION - David Samuel Bryant Jr., 56, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Richardson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant was born in Marion County, a son of David Samuel Bryant and Elsie Smith Bryant.
Surviving are two sons, Lee Davis Bryant of Myrtle Beach and Dr. David Bruce Bryant of Mullins; two daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Fleming of Kokomo, Ind. and Mrs. Kathy Wiggins of Fork; three brothers, J. Hugh Bryant of Sumter, Larry C. Bryant of Hartsville and Ira T. Bryant of Marion; seven sisters, Mrs. Ila Mae Hayes of Charleston, Mrs. Patricia Taylor of Boone, N.C., Mrs. Margaret Denny of Chicago, Mrs. Linda Lynn of Chesapeake, Va., Mrs. Nina Arnette of Lake View, and Mrs. Elizabeth Avant and Mrs. Leitha Campbell, both of Marion; and 9 grandchildren.
