Mrs. Hannah King, age 92, widow of the late Col. Robert S . King for many years residents of this district died Friday morning at 10:30 o 'clock at her late home near Canaanville, following a short illness. Mrs. King had been remarkable for one of her years, being active the mind and body. She was well known in the Chauncey, Millfield, and The Plains district, having relatives residing here. A daughter. Mary King, made her home with them other and assisted in her care during her last short illness. She is survived by the following children, Job W. King, The plains; Mrs. Vesta Cherrington, Glouster, Miss Mary King, at home; Mrs. Dorothy McCloud, Youngstown, Ohio, and Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Detroit. She also leaves seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a brother. L.C. Burns, of Akron. Funeral services will he held at the home of Mrs. Cherrington, in Glouster at 2 p.m. Sunday and burial will be in the Glouster cemetery. Friends may call at the Cherrington home after 12 o'clock Sunday. -Athens Sunday Messenger August 15, 1937.
