Cora Lee Moore, known affectionately as "Doll" by her family and friends was a devoted person with a great strength of character and an abiding faith in God. She was one of eight children born to Eugene and Julia Middlebrooks in Houston County, Georgia on June 25, 1922. There she was reared in a Christian home and received her education. At an early age Cora Lee Moore accepted Christ and joined her family's church, Sandbed Baptist Church in Kathleen, Georgia. She later moved to Florida where she met and united in Holy Matrimony in March of 1941 to William Moore who preceded her in death, the couple had no children. The couple soon joined the Zion Hope Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida where they resided and she served as a faithful member in several capacities including as church secretary, until her health declined. Cora Lee Moore also served as a volunteer for the Red Cross and a member of several charity and civic organizations. She later relocated some years after her husbands death to Warner Robins, Georgia in the early 1990's and reunited back with her home church. She resided in Warner Robins with a sister until she was called from service to reward at a local hospital on August 10, 2001. Cora Lee Moore leaves to cherish her memories, friends and many others whose lives she touched with her a constant source of inspiration and support.
