Robert Earl Bryant I, 82, of Danville passed away of congestive heart failure at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 10, 2012) at the VA nursing home.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1929 in Hoopeston to Frank and Goldie Barker Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ellis, Max, Tom and Dave and one sister, Patricia Baker. He married Margaret Mohr on June 6, 1953 in Chicago. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Susan (Larry) Lyman of Catlin, Deborah (Michael) Blue of Continental, Ohio and Kathy Norton of Danville; two sons, Robert (Debra) Bryant of Danville and William Bryant of Sidney; nine grandchildren, Bryan (Kate) Blue of Kalida, Ohio, Jennifer (Jeff) Mueller of League City, Texas, Denise Blue of Findlay, Ohio, Jeff Norton of Danville, Amanda Bryant of Danville, Andrea (Tyler) Young of Buckley, Nicole Bryant of Urbana, Brandon Lyman of Catlin and Josh Dicken of Danville and five great-grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
