Heaven just received a magnificent Wife, Mother and Grandmother to their fold. Rose Ostransky will fill the heavens with love, laughter, smiles, music, flowers, birds and fish. She will be watching over us as she has done for over 96 years.
A memorial visitation for Rose A. Ostransky, 96, of Lincoln is scheduled from 10:00am-8:00pm on Tuesday, January 17th at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home. A Rosery and Memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18th at 10;00AM at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Rose died January 14th and was born February 6, 1915 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Joseph and Ann Citta. She married the late Joseph Ostransky. Rose had lived in Omaha, NE, Millard NE, Petersburg NE, Ceresco, Ne, Monterey CA and Lincoln, NE. Rose enjoyed painting, playing the organ, playing cards, growing flowers, raising fish and birds. Rose worked on the farm, at a packing plant and as a cosmetologist. Rose was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Ostransky; infant son, Joe Jr; son-in-law, Dwayne Vanek; grandson Shane Ostransky and great grandson, Richard Paul Dobesh.
Survivors include her three sons, Danial Ostransky and his wife Carole, Edward Ostransky and his wife Carolyn, Robert Ostransky and his wife LuCinda; two daughters, Joann Dolezal and her husband Don, and Mary Vanek; Sixteen grandchildren, Tim Ostransky, Lonnie Ostransky, Shawn Ostransky, Jamie Ostranksy, Dana Ostransky, John Ostransky, Steve Ostransky, Jason Vanek, Roseann DeGraff, Danita Ostransky, Angela Dean, Amanda Haeffner, Andrea Ludwig, Lacey Redlefsen, Ashley Ragno, and Kimberly Kuhl; 28 great grand children and one great-great grandchild ; three brothers, Frank Citta, Fred Citta, and Carl Citta and his wife Maxine; three sisters, Josephine Golda, Ann Marie Golda, and Betty Mokay.
