Ignacita S. Esquibel, a long time resident of Las Vegas, NM was called home by the Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2011 following a brief illness. Ignacita was preceded in death by her father, Orlando S. Esquibel and her brother, John Esquibel. Ignacita is survived by her loving mother, Eliza Esquibel of Las Vegas, NM; her brother, Orlando J. Esquibel and his wife, Audrey of Albuquerque, NM; her sisters, Frances Garcia and her husband, Ralph of Las Vegas, NM and Ramona Torres of Albuquerque, NM; numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, god children; and special friends Loretta Lopez and J. R. Lujan. Ignacita was born in Albuquerque, NM on October 2, 1955 and graduated from Rio Grande High School in Albuquerque, NM. Ignacita was the business manager at the El Rialto Restaurant and Lounge where she ran a tight ship. Cremation has taken place and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The eulogies will be delivered by the Honorable Judge, Matt Sandoval and Jesus Lopez.
