Mrs. L. Dittberner Rites Held Friday At St. John's Lutheran
Last rites were held at the St. John's Lutheran church in Green Garden on Friday for Mrs. Louise Dittberner, who died at her home here on Monday, April 5.
Mrs. Dittberner who has been in failing health since the beginning of the year and had spend about six weeks in the hospital, was appareatly recovering when she suddenly became worse and passed away on Monday morning. Services were in charge of Rev. H. A. Bode and burial was in the St. John's Cemetery.
Louise Henrietta Zessin, was born on June 2, 1884, on a farm near Madison, the daughter of Herman and Ernestine Zessin.
She was baptized on July 13, 1884 by Pastor Hoffman and was confirmed on April 3, 1898 by Pastor E. Denninger.
She was united in marriage on October 1, 1905 with William Dittberner and to this union three children were born. They made their home on a farm in Green Garden until 1935 when they moved to Madison. Mr. Dittberner died on April 21, 1944.
Mrs. Dittberner was a lifelong and faithful member of the St. John's congregation.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Esther Panek, of Madison, Two sons, Raymond of Madison and Ervin of Los Angeles, five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Henry Boysen and Mrs. Fred Sattler of Madison and Mrs. Arthur Eucker of Humphrey, and four brothers, Oscar of Humphrey, Herman and William of Madison and Albert of Oakland, Cal.
